How many psi is a 700 bar hydraulic hose?
700 bar is approximately 10,000 psi. All four sizes of the Polyhose PH351 hose used in HPH assemblies (3/16″, 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″) are rated for 700 bar (10,000 psi) working pressure.
What are the burst pressure and safety factor?
Burst pressure is 2,800 bar for 3/16″, 1/4″ and 3/8″ (4:1) and 2,080 bar for 1/2″ (approximately 3:1). These values apply to the hose itself; the working pressure of the complete assembly also depends on the couplers and fittings used.
Which connection does the hose come with?
As standard it is supplied ready to use with 3/8″ NPT end fittings crimped on both ends. If your equipment uses a different connection, state it with your order; the connection type can be changed to order.
Which lengths are available?
1 m, 2 m, 3 m and 5 m are standard lengths; project-specific lengths are also made to order.
Can it be used with bolt tensioners or hydraulic nuts?
No. Bolt tensioners (HRT, HCK) and hydraulic nuts (HHN) operate at 1500 bar; a 700 bar hose must not be used on these systems. Use a 1500 bar high-pressure hose for these applications.
What is the minimum bend radius?
3/16″: 50 mm · 1/4″: 70 mm · 3/8″: 100 mm · 1/2″: 180 mm. Do not bend the hose tighter than this radius and do not kink it at the coupler.
Which temperatures and fluids is it suitable for?
Continuous use from −40 °C to +100 °C with petroleum-based, synthetic and water-based hydraulic fluids. With air and water-based fluids the temperature must not exceed +70 °C.
