Which HSP model should I choose for my nut size?
The HSP series covers the full 10–105 mm nut wrench-opening range (M6–M75 bolts) across 9 models, from the HSP1319 (10–19 mm) up to the HSP90105 (90–105 mm). You can determine the right model based on nut size, grade (8/10/12), and access conditions using our selection guide, or send us your details through the quote form.
What operating pressure and cutting force does a hydraulic nut splitter use?
All HSP models run on a hydraulic pump with a 3/8″ NPT/F connection rated to a maximum operating pressure of 700 bar (12,000 psi). Cutting force ranges from 49 kN (HSP1319) up to 1320 kN (HSP90105), depending on the model.
What material is the nut splitter blade made of, and what happens when it wears?
The blade is manufactured from heat-treated special tool steel and cuts nuts with a hardness up to HRC 44. The blade is a replaceable, double-sided design — once one face wears, it can be flipped to use the second face, reducing operating costs.
Why is a nut splitter safer and faster than a grinding or cutting disc?
Grinding and cutting discs generate heat, sparks, and metal swarf, whereas a hydraulic nut splitter performs the split in a single stroke with no heat and no sparks. This protects adjacent parts, gaskets, and coatings, and lets a single operator complete the job faster.
Does the nut splitter produce sparks? What environments can it be used in?
No — the HSP series operates on a purely mechanical splitting principle and produces no sparks. This makes it safe to use in sensitive environments such as petrochemical and energy facilities, shipbuilding/shipyards, mining, cement plants, and defense/infrastructure applications where spark risk is unacceptable.
Do you provide maintenance/repair service and spare parts for HSP series nut splitters?
Yes. We handle maintenance and repair for HSP series nut splitters in-house — send us your unit and we'll inspect it and manage the repair process. We also manufacture original spare parts (including cutting blades) on request for the models we produce; we don't maintain a separate parts catalog, but you can contact us directly for the part you need.
